City of Port Angeles Debacle

Another Port Angeles Blunder is the crack pot idea that they, The City, will try and charge a base rate for utilities on vacant lots, that’s right, try and make property owners, all of those that own vacant lots within The City, pay a base rate for utilities even though there isn’t any connection or even a rough in.

City Hall Staff, and it’s Council, as always, is as tight as a mentally ill tick, little, if any information is released unless and until they are forced to either when they realize the crackpots have once again gone off the deep end or, as in the case of this site, sued The Agency, multiple times, and won, on many issues.

If you remember, The DEI Woke He/She/It/Whatever Lunatics Lindsey Charmin Wormer and other loons such as Narrvaro Carr, passed a crazy motion to make vacant lot owners pay for utilities they do not have but nothing has been put forward since.

Word has it that it is permanently on hold because of threats to sue The City Hall Loons, every vacant lot owner in town, including Contractors, that may not build immediately upon taking ownership of a piece of land, are joining together for a sort of Class Action Suit.

No other business, and Government in many ways is a business, by accounts payable, also cannot, for example, make citizens pay for say ‘building permits’ or services they do not intend to use.

Think about that, it’s the same thing, a vacant lot owner being made to obtain a building permit and maybe keep it active just so The He/She/It/Whatever Lunatics can fund their continuing Woke DEI Agenda.

The charge for utilities would cost the average lot owner several thousand a year, for nothing, like being charged for a new car you do not own.

We are not talking here about 'snowbirds' that want their utilities shut off while down in Arizona for example but, for having no utilities.

The issue raises many questions, what would the charges be for, exactly, Sanitation?

Does that mean I then would get garbage cans placed on the vacant lot to use as I please or would I and others be charged for Sanitation yet not be allowed to even have the garbage cans I am charged for.

Another goal of The Crazy People and Orwellian Loons is to keep the long term owners from making so much money in increased value and make the cost so high that the lot owners might sell the lots so another owner can build affordable housing.

I have always said as push back, I own Rentals and I, not The City Hall Loons, choose to whom I rent to, when to evict them and how much I charge and I, try to be as, 'unaffordable' as I can possibly be, no way are my homes ever going to be, affordable!
