City of Port Angeles Manager Nathan A. West Dysfunctional

Years ago I had written a letter to the editor back when the Peninsula Daily News was reporting on the dysfunction within and at The City of Port Angeles.

That letter was in support for, of, Manager Mark Madsen and specifically pertaining to one and only educated employee at city hall, that employee was a Teresa Pierce.

The City of Port Angeles seems at this point in time to be totally out of control and need to pull their heads out of their asses starting with City Manager Nathan A. West.

The department heads and even the lower level flunkies seem to be running the show, Nathan West is nothing more than an inaffective warden whose inmates are in charge.

The City of Port Angeles has been sued hundreds of dozens of times under the so called leadership of West and has paid out hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars.

That, is a conservative number and of course, all at the expense of the tax payer.

Because the local new media, and I say “media” while trying hard not to choke while laughing, has never published the fact that the taxpayers within the jurisdiction of the city have their tax rates jump because of the poor management and uneducated work force.

The work force employed at the city fail at their duties and show poor workmanship that causes the multiple lawsuits of which is paid by WA Cities Insurance Authority.

You, the taxpayer, pay for all of that however, when someone trips and falls due to the lazy asses not doing their due diligence, snow plow operators that pile snow in front of mail boxes, intoxicated drivers that jump curbs not to mention bipolar employees that complain about receiving legitimate complaints while they themselves, have been sued.

All of these issues the City Manager is fully aware of yet the incompetence continues.

Sidewalks remain in disrepair, water service has rust, meters are 17th century and remain leaking and damaged yet there is no response by city hall of which should, and perhaps will, answer to a higher authority for failing to do their job as required as a Public Utility.

A Public Utility has a legal duty to be responsive.
