Washington State Population Slowing

This site supports such a condition as it certainly cuts the stress on services, road conditions and housing etc but the reason is what is concerning, tax hikes and The Collective DEI Woke Agenda.

Washington Gov. Bob Ferguson now supports an income tax on residents earning more than $1 million annually and said he’s prepared to sign the policy into law next year, Ferguson had, in the past, opposed such a whooping slap in the face to voters.

Democrats are of course licking their chops on a 9.9% “millionaire’s tax” on adjusted annual gross income over $1 million. The consolation prize is that it would not start until 2029.

Many legal experts warn, in a good way, that the proposal is unlawful.

Democrat Ferguson said it’s too soon to know if adding the income tax would put the state on a path to a more sustainable budget that diminishes the need for further cuts or tax hikes like those approved earlier this year, oh, dear, can’t have that, a cut to unneeded services like Zero Fare Bus Services for the perpetual homeless and drug addicts.

He said he is “optimistic” the Legislature will approve the tax next year but that “there will be a court challenge, for sure, right? And ultimately it’ll go before the voters.”

Locals just voted down a raise in taxes so what does The Local Government do, pass one anyway, maybe it’s to help Navorro Carr pay for her Crew Cut.

Ferguson, a former three-term state attorney general, said he’s confident courts would uphold the new levy, even though the state Supreme Court has ruled that income taxes are unconstitutional.

Most, if not all of the good Republicans, are opposed as are votes said Couture, the lead budget voice among House Republicans, “People don’t want an income tax.”

Locals in Clallam County have already noticed, for the last several years, what the loony lefties can do to the ‘local’ economy and it’s residents with ‘it’s’ local DEI Woke lunacy, costs for even, if not mostly, those less fortunate, the drug addicts and he/she/whatevers etc, are the ones hurt most when costs of goods and services rise to pay for the goodies handed out not to mention the crime stats skyrocketing.
